Almost every one of us would have sung or recited the first stanza of this poem hundreds of times ever since we were kids. But I think few have actually come across the entire poem. At least I didn't until quite recently, so I thought I'd just share it with others who haven't.
The Star
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.
Then the trav'ller in the dark,
Thanks you for your tiny spark,
He could not see which way to go,
If you did not twinkle so.
In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
Till the sun is in the sky.
As your bright and tiny spark,
Lights the traveler in the dark—
Though I know not what you are,
Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

Oh and I meant to ask u, why do u go for pottery class? I have been on the look out for a good one.

Posted by: Dawn at July 28, 2005 7:41 PMST: I think you meant "where" right? Oh, the one i go to is not a school or anything. It's just someone's private workshop. A friend of mine decided to organise a small class for beginners (8 lessons) and just got her teacher to teach us at his workshop.
Dawn: Ah, so you're back to the chilly weather! Go suss a prata place out in Melbourne...i'm sure they have some around! That'll be your mission! :p
