Reminders
Anybody knows what's the deal with the term "a gentle reminder"? Seriously, where's the "gentle" in the reminder? Somebody show me 'cos I don't see it. It's one of those oft-used terms in work correspondence which leaves me baffled sometimes. Same goes for "subtle reminder". Like what's so subtle about this reminder?
As you can see, I'm in one of my moods. PMT. Stay outta my way!

Hey babe, what is PMT? I only know of PMS and BMT. Can u educate and enlighten me?
PMT and PMS are the same thing. Both acceptable terminology in the medical world. The former's "tension" the latter's "syndrome".
i know how it is. =\ hope you'll get through it soon!
How about when people say "Can I borrow your liquid paper or glue or any other consumable items?". Where does the "borrow" part come in when they cannot return back what they have used.
BTW DSD, look at what I cooked up in my blog.
al: Thanks! It was tough at the office today. argh.
Felix: Haha...good point. But at least they're returning the bottle albeit with a bit less liquid in it.
And really yummy food btw!
I suppose reminders can be gentle depending on the language. Never heard of "subtle reminders" though!
