My Gift

I received a Sun Stick from The Body Shop. SPF 25 protection. The person who bought it must have realised that I have a lot of freckles on my face, and reminding me that I should take good care of my skin so as to prevent sun damage and premature ageing!

So in Singapore, is the trend to have tan skin like in most western countries or white skin like in HK and Japan?

what's a sun stick? is it like a lip balm, but for cheeks? it sounds interesting. so you can just rub it on your face during the day?

Felix: In Singapore, it's a split between the two. Some people like to look tan and they worship the sun, while others cover themselves up all the time, pile on the sunscreen, and refrain from stepping out into the sun.

Monoceros: Yes you're right. It's shaped like a lipstick actually and operates like one. And yep, you can apply it to your face and body during the day.

I totally agree with the original post. I can't stand getting "cute" ornaments or picture frames. I get these every year and will undoubtedly get another one for the collection tomorrow. I have a premonition that it will be a maru-maru, choro-choro etc "cute" Japanese mug. I want a CD by an artist that I specify!
