Celebrity Sighting

Saw Maggie Q at Intercontinental Hotel yesterday. She was having Sunday brunch at the hotel lounge with a group of friends, unfortunately they weren't celebs as well, or else there would have been more star-gazing.

She's a stunner.

Anyway, I was at Intercontinental because I had lunch there at the Chinese restaurant Man Fu Yuan...was my Dad's birthday so that was my treat. We had dimsum and also ordered a big plate of seafood noodles. It's someone birthday, so it's customary to have noodles to symbolise longevity. The dimsum there, though lacking in variety, is very good.

The prawns in the Har Gow were huge, fresh and succulent. The char-siew polo buns were filled with generous amounts of deliciously marinated charsiew which oozed with tasty sauce wrapped in a soft and thin layer of bread. Heavenly. The steamed rice rolls, which is more commonly called cheong fun, were like a smooth and thin blanket wrapping themselves round big prawns. Those dishes were the highlights for me.

A recommended restaurant for some good Cantonese food!
