I hate it when I'm being forced into doing something which I wasn't consulted on before hand.
Case in point:
A friend whom I'm not close to sms-es me and asks if I'm ok with sharing the $55 pedicure package she got as a birthday present for a mutual friend whom she's close to but I'm not.
Ok, the only reason why I meet up with these two people occasionally is because the three of us have a mutual friend whom we are close to. I don't know how it is that we can all be close to one person but yet we're not close. It's a chemistry thing I guess.
And I know this sounds bad, but I don't like going out with those two 'cos I hate the things we always end up talking about. Those two are attached and in extremely steady relationships, and all they talk about is the buying of flats and which flats are good etcetc.
Sorry, but there ARE other things to talk about. Hence I try to avoid meeting up as much as possible. Once a year is sufficient. THAT's bearable.
But anyway, I digress. The point is I felt coerced into contributing to that present. I mean, $14 is not a big deal, but I didn't appreciate the fact that I wasn't even asked about it but rather it was just thrown onto my lap! Like she happily buys something and decides for me that I have to pay for it! And hey, none of them even remembers my birthday!
But anyway, I agreed to it. To say no would be kinda mean and I'll probably be cursed for being a b**ch.
Oh well. It's just that I would appreciate being asked first.

Posted by: dsd at September 9, 2004 9:27 AMNice decor! ;-) I can see from the way the file was named that you used Photoshop, right?
For flat colours, it's advisable to save as GIF not JPG which is better for photographs. GIF handles flat and few colours better.
Also give images a proper ALT name. That's found within the img tag. For instance, alt="Dim Sum Dolly". That's more for accessibility purposes. Some people may have turned off images or use a text-only browser.
You can also encase your img tags with a link to your home page, using the 'a' tags.
