Kidnapped

I should have known better than to include a pressed flower in the card I sent to Monkey. The Australian quarantine is really eagle-eyed when it comes to any plant or agricultural products entering the country via whatever means.

The sprig of purple forget-me-not I placed within the card never made it past customs. It was cruelly kidnapped and destroyed by the authorities for which no ransom would ever do for the return.

Boohoohoo.

now that's interesting.... i am sure uncle albert and auntie helena receive my flowers! or maybe they have mighty-powerful flower-scanners (or WMDs-suspect scanners) these days?! hmmmm probably you have to press them flatter! good luck next time!

tiggie, you have to watch out for those Weighted Metaphorical Digressions. ;-)

Joan, I think the Customs officers were jealous of me when they saw the pressed flower that you were sending, and so they kept it for themselves. After getting the envelope out of the mailbox and seeing that it was from you, I must say I got a shock to find that the back had been ripped and sealed again with a stick that said, "QUARANTINE! PLEASE OPEN IMMEDIATELY". I have to admit, I was wondering what it was you sent me!
