I must be one of the worst teachers around - I "corrupted" my students by taking them to watch a R(A) film today. We decided that instead of having the usual lessons, we wanted to watch a movie. And they decided that they wanted to watch this Korean film called "Untold Scandal" which has been rated R(A) by the censors due to the nudity and sex scenes.
The film is set in 18th Century Korea and is a remake of Hollywood's Dangerous Liaisons. The lush costumes and props bring out the authenticity of this film. Fine acting and interesting storyline. Worth a watch. Anyway, I such at writing reviews so please go here for a review.
4 out of 5 of my students are underage (they're one year short of the required 21 years of age to watch an R(A) film), and we were asked for our IDs when entering the cinema. Thankfully we were well-prepared. They all borrowed some form of ID from their older friends.
At the end of the show, one or two of my students were pretty 'traumatised' by the nude and sex scenes. I mean, it's an arthouse film and there were only a few of those scenes. But I think it was a bit too much for those young minds. Haha...those innocent souls.
I feel like the devil now. Heehee. Devil Dolly!
