Damn. Valentine's day in a week's time and am dateless. Time to call all unattached girlfriends to arrange for a girls' night out. Prob veg out in front of the TV watching chick-flicks with gorgeous men in them. Shall continue deluding myself that men like those in the movies exist. Will place blame on Hollywood scriptwriters, who are obviously deluded females writing for equally deluded female audiences, for perpetuating myth.
Better get cracking and find myself a guy 'cos Monkey, my prospective husband from age 40 onwards, is definitely going to find a fellow male primate going by the looks of his busy social life. Then that means I'll have to live with the ignominy of having been dumped by a primate. Can't let that happen.
Time to look for my little black book. But oh, just remembered that it never even existed at all. Bugger.

Posted by: tiggie at February 7, 2004 11:04 AMtiggie, this entry is really just purely tongue-in-cheek! haha! Seriously, it has never ruled my life and i hope it stays that way! :)
Posted by: joan at February 7, 2004 11:13 AMHello, love! Ooh, I love the whole 'Bridget Joan's' concept. So many blogging possibilities there. But if a Mr. Darcy came along, I think we might have to fight for him.
A friend was telling me last night how much he misses his boyfriend, who lives in Singapore. I should've said that I could relate, because you, my wife, are there, too.
Together 4EVA!
Posted by: Adrian at February 7, 2004 11:43 AMkeep up the bantering....it's most entertaining! :C)
Posted by: tiggie at February 7, 2004 7:10 PMOoh, I second that! Joan, very witty to have the Bridget Joan's Diary entries. It should be a regular feature! By the way, the sequel movie opens end of this year. More Colin Firth. Yay!
Adrian, will you ever visit our dear Joan in Singapore? We'd all love to meet you too!
Posted by: Van Heng at February 8, 2004 1:52 AMAdrian, If there's a Mr.Darcy, I'll make sure he has a twin brother pour toi. And see, you now have a mini fan club in Singapore. You'll have to come visit!
Thanks Vanny! I'll try to make this a regular feature! ;p
