Happy 25th

My 25th birthday has started promisingly. I woke up to clear blue skies and bright sunshine! Yipee! It's such a change from yesterday's overcast skies and drizzles.

I had dinner last night with some friends and we later went to enjoy some live music at a bar. I got home at around 12:30am so actually the celebration kinda started the night before. heehee.

After I got out of bed and went into the kitchen, I received birthday greetings from my auntie and my cousin Qing-Xiu. I found two lovely handmade presents waiting for me. My aunt made me a choker with a beautiful glass bead that she had made. She's into glass bead making at the moment, and I've seen her making them at home. Really cool stuff. She made me a bead that had red, black and gold colours in them.

My cousin Qing-Xiu made me two pairs of pyjama pants. I love them! One has small white floral prints on a light blue background and the other's has prints of dogs on it. It's so sweet of her and she has chosen prints that I love. I've always wanted something like that. Now I just need to buy a nice white pyjama top to match both of them. Qing-Xiu's only 12, but she's really nifty with her hands. She's really good with handicrafts and sewing, which is more than I can say for myself! I'm hopeless with the sewing machine.

And now I'm looking forward to the rest of the day. I'll be heading to Adrian's house in a while together with Joe. Adrian's house is near the water so we're planning to go surfskiing! I've never tried that before, but the guys tell me it's similar to canoeing - something which is right up my alley! Oh, I love the water and the weather's perfect for a day out in the sun and water! Am so excited now!

After that, I'll be heading back to the city to meet up with another group of friends for dinner. They're going to take me to Leichardt, also affectionately known as Little Italy because of the large Italian community there, for some fresh pasta! I've always wanted to try the fresh pasta there 'cos I keep hearing people say how good it is, and so I requested that my friends bring me there.

Well anyway, I'm all geared up and excited to start the day!

[Update]:

I just got birthday greetings from my family in Singapore who called to wish me Happy 25th and e-cards from them as well. Thanks Mum, Dad & Sis!
